How Do I Choose the Best Tires for My Car?

Each tire model is designed to accommodate your car’s characteristics, driving style, and how you like your car to feel, so you can get the best tire for your needs if you choose wisely.


These are the essential features to consider when deciding on a tire model: 

Contact patch:

It’s the “footprint” formed by the salient rubber blocks of the tire. When you accelerate, brake, or turn, those blocks bend to optimize their angle of contact with the road and keep pushing against it.

Profile:

Is the tire’s height-vs-width relation. The side of low tires bends and springs less, which quickens the tire’s response. On the other hand, higher tires absorb more of the road’s impacts, which makes your ride smoother and more comfortable.

Pattern:

It’s formed by the grooves that “cut” the rubber in all directions. The pattern lets the rubber blocks bend in the right direction against the road, penetrate gravel and dirt off-road, and evacuate water off the tire under the rain.
